Why Christians CAN’T Believe in Evolution and/or
(If you believe in either, you aren’t a Christian)
GOOD MORNING!
I must confess that I purposely made the title a bit provocative (If you believe in evolution or aliens, you aren’t a Christian) to cause some of you to stop and think or perhaps even get angry with me for that statement. I find for myself it is in the heat of passionately defending what I think I believe that I sometimes evaluate and alter what I truly believe! One of the cries of the reformers was, “Ecclesia Reformata, Semper Reformanda!” The Reformed Church is always reforming!
My goal is to demonstrate to everyone today that the theory of evolution is incompatible and diametrically opposed to the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. I also intend to demonstrate the catastrophic consequences that result from the evolutionary framework when it is applied to our lives through the various systems of Education, Government, Sociology, Science and Religion.
Why is this important? Some of you might be saying to themselves right now, “This is church, that is science, I believe God created the earth so this has nothing to do with me, right?” WRONG! This battle is for the hearts and minds of the people of the earth and has everything to do with how we believe, how we live and how we communicate that belief to a lost and dying world one person at a time!
A more appropriate title might have been, “If you are a true Christian and hold to a belief in evolution or the possibility of alien life on other planets, then you do no understand what Jesus did on the cross.”
So, where do we begin this discussion? How about… Gen 1:1In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (THE UNIVERSE…Uni: single / verse: spoken word ) Even if you are willing to stand up right now and confess that you do not believe in evolution, I want you to think about the following questions as I bring the remainder of this message. If the Universe is made up of trillions of solar systems which could be similar to ours, could God have created another race of beings just like or similar to ourselves? How would we know or not know if there were another civilization 2 billion light years distant? Would it matter?

Stop and think about the mechanics of evolution.
1) In the beginning there was nothing…and then it exploded (Big Bang)
2) After millions and millions of years, these “explosion” created particles began to coalesce into gaseous and molten objects which began to cool by condensation of cooled gasses.
3) It began to rain and rain for millions and millions of years to cool the molten blobs into solid rocks in which the rain leached minerals and began to form primordial “soup”
4) Then this primordial soup came to life with a simple celled organism which began to mutate to adapt to its surroundings.
5) Through the process of mutation and natural selection (change-death-change-death etc.) these organisms took on more and more complexity over the next 4 billion years until here we are! Evolution loves DEATH!!! Evolution hates God!!!
What does the bible say about DEATH?
Rom 5:12 states, “12Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned—“
So we see, only through sin did DEATH enter into the world…DEATH is NOT responsible for life as we know it. Remember Prov 8:36…all who hate me love death
What did Christ do for us on the cross?
Rom 5:20The law was added so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, 21so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Cor 15:50I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the
55"Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?"[h] 56The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you.
**Jesus took away the sting of Death on the cross…he killed “death” by His death so that we may have an immortal body one day!
Let us turn the corner and talk about ET…
ET – Now that evolution is accepted as “fact” within most academic circles, ANYTHING is possible, hence the search for water on Mars which lets them make the profound LEAP from water to ET since they blindly believe the evolutionary system I described as fact.
The Incomparable Christ

**Jesus died on earth THIS planet – ONE TIME for the whole creation!! He would have to die many times on many planets for ET. If it is only one time Jesus dies, How many of us would respond to a Gospel that revolves around a man that was born and died on a planet 600 million light years from Earth!
In the German magazine Focus, it was recently stated ‘90% of UFO reports turn out to be humbug, but there is a residual 10% which are not easy to dismiss.’5
The article quoted sociologist Gerald Eberlein as saying:
‘research has shown that people who are not affiliated with any church, but who claim that they are religious, are particularly susceptible to the possible existence of extra-terrestrials. For them, UFOlogy is a substitute religion.’6
The Bible goes somewhat deeper in this matter, identifying a supplementary cause and effect:
2 Thessalonians 2:
7For (A)the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only (B)He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8Then that lawless one (C)will be revealed whom the Lord will slay (D)with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the (E)appearance of His coming; 9that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of (F)Satan, with all power and (G)signs and false wonders, 10and with all the deception of wickedness for (H)those who perish, because they did not receive the love of (I)the truth so as to be saved. 11For this reason (J)God will send upon them a (K)deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, 12in order that they all may be judged who (L)did not believe the truth, but (M)took pleasure in wickedness.
**Just how dangerous can this be? Some quick internet research will show that the Jedi religion to be a very real phenomenon! People are actually putting “Jedi” down as their official religion on government census forms all over the world. There is actually a website www.jedichurch.com that states: The

· From the beginning of time, God’s ETERNAL PURPOSE was to display his manifold wisdom (supreme/without comparison) to the rulers, authorities, and principalities in the heavenly realm BY MEANS OF THE CHURCH AND JESUS!

IF THE REASON GOD CREATED THE EARTH AND MANKIND WAS TO DISPLAY HIS SUPREME, UNFATHONABLE, UNCOMPARIBLE WISDOM TO THE RULERS AND AUTHORITIES IN THE HEAVENLY REALM THROUGH CHRIST JESUS AND HIS CHURCH…..
THEN THERE IS NO REASON FOR GOD TO CREATE ANOTHER WORLD WHERE LIFE EXISTS!!!!!!!!!!
IT WOULD MAKE THE OFFERING OF HIS BLOOD COMPLETELY USELESS!!!!
THERE ARE ONLY TWO TYPES OF BEINGS: MANKIND AND SPIRITUAL – PERIOD!
