The humble person is the one who has all of their hope, all of their assurance, all of their convictions in one place – all on God; They are consumed by Faith. Faith in Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God. I hope that you can see that all of this is not about you… it is about God; the moment that you make it about you is the moment that you have fallen into the sin of pride; it is the moment that you are not living by Faith. Pride is unbelief… Faith is finding all of our hope / ours desires / our satisfaction in God. The most effective way living by true Faith is by living a life: That is yielding to the sovereignty of God in all the details of your life; A life that rests in his awesome ability to work for those who wait for him; A life that is completely submitted to Gods will and control; A life that acknowledges that God has given us everything; everything that we are good at is a gift from him; A life that is focused on making much of God; A life of standing in the arms of our Lord as a child – not rely upon anything other then him.
