Jesus is the Messiah, and Matthew's intention is to leave that truth unarguably imprinted upon the reader's mind. With such undeniable evidence for the validity of Jesus' messianic claim, we are left to ask one question: What will I do with this Jesus of the Scriptures? Will I repent and believe or harden in disbelief. None can remain neutral in the clarity of this powerful portion of God's Word.
