Title: Every Mouth Stopped
Theme: The holiness of God.
Text: Romans 1:18-3:20

Grace Group Questions for this Sunday's sermon:

1) It is easy for Christians to “join the cause” when the battle is against sin. What can be “right” and what can be “wrong” about this?

2) “Circling the wagons” is a motif in the bible. The movement is from a “that’s right, go get em!” to “who, me?” (Amos 1, 2; Matthew 5:21-48; etc.) It is easier to have a “that’s right, go get em!” attitude. Why?

3) The Jews felt okay when the “finger of God was being pointed at” the greeks, but they wanted to justify themselves when the “finger of God was being pointed at” themselves. How do we do that in the church?

4) What does God need to do or what is God trying to do in us as a result of this passage.

5) How will understanding the point of this passage help us in working through our sins against one another? Being compassionate towards our unsaved family and neighbors? Being more vigilant about sharing the gospel? Bowing the knee before a holy God? Growing in gratitude for our own salvation? Pray through each of these as a group.
