Standing Before a Holy God (Luke Part 47)

Hearing that life on earth will be really dark and evil before the return of Jesus was not easy for the disciples to hear (Luke 17:20-37).  For that reason, Jesus teaches them how to pray and not lose heart.  He also shows that God will move swiftly to bring justice for His elect.  He teaches us how to pray realistically before our holy God and to be childlike in our faith, so as not to give up.  If we won’t do this, then will Jesus find anyone faithful on earth when He returns (Luke 18:8b)?.  Here is my sermon today on these issues from Luke 18:1-17 (c.f. Daniel 9:1-19).

God bless, Pastor Haydn.

Here is the article that I read today about the massacre of 250 Christian infants in Iraq, whose dead bodies where kneaded with dough to make bread.
