Creation: Glorious, Frustrating, and Renewed
God gave us his amazing creation for our use, for us to rule over. We failed to rule over it, instead, we let it rule over us. Now we live in a frustrating and dangerous world, full of death and destruction. We don't see the world in subjection to us, but we do see Jesus, who has overcome the frustration of creation in his life, death and resurrection, and now calls us forward into his renewed creation.
Jesus: Greater than the Angels
The witness of the Old Testament is clear - Jesus is greater than even the angels! If the Old Testament Church was punished for disobeying the message brought to them by angels, how much greater will the condemnation be of those who ignore the salvation brought by the greater one, Jesus?
Jesus is Better
Jesus is better! Don't love the world, love him!
Fear God, or You'll Fear People
Jesus commands his disciples to fear the Almighty and Holy God, rather than the people they are called to speak to. He shows us that if we don't fear God correctly, we'll be held captive by a fear of the people around us.
