1. Read all the "Reflections" on page two in the bulletin. Take a few minutes to discuss your initial thoughts and reactions to these quotes.
Read Judges 2: 10; Deuteronomy 6: 4-9; 20-25; Joshua 24: 15; 21-24; Proverbs 22:6

2. What are your greatest challenges to regularly be engaged in teaching God's Word and being engaged in gospel conversation in your home? Why is it so important that, according to Deuteronomy 6; 4-9; 20-25, that there is a constant stream of instruction centered on God's Word?

3. Why does our choice to follow Jesus have to be a daily, on-going thing and not just a one-time decision?

4. What role does prayer play in our own relationship with God and in our instruction to our children? Why is it so important to pray together as husband and wife and as a family?

5. In this past week's sermon entitled: "Christian Living In the Home: Building A Fire In the Rain" what was most striking to you, raised questions or gave you a new insight into the world in which we live, your life or what it means to follow Jesus?

6. Where do you see your need for the gospel from these passages? Where do you see your need for the perfect life of Jesus lived for you and his death for you in this text?

7. What one thing from our discussion has been impressed upon you most during our Community Group? Where have you fallen short of Jesus' requirements and need the gospel once again in your own life? Share and pray for one another.
