Body by God

Over the past two weeks we have been digging into the question of the resurrection. On Easter, we discovered that life begins with belief in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Last week, we uncovered that we need to wake up before we rise up because the resurrection of our physical bodies is inevitable. Now we have come to what is, for many people, the key questions of 1 Corinthians 15, the apostle Paul says in verse 35, "But someone will ask, "How are the dead raised? With what kind of body do they come?" It is obvious that skepticism flows from those questions. If you will remember from last week, in verse 12 Paul had already recognized that some among the Corinthians were saying that there is no resurrection from the dead. Just like many of you they were saying, "We don't understand how it can happen, so we don't believe it will happen." These questions that they had lingering in their minds were expressions of their unbelief.
Well, in the next few verses Paul answers these two questions the skeptics were asking, "How are the dead raised?" and, "With what kind of body do they come?"
