“A CHRISTMAS PROPHECY”
Isaiah 7:14; 9:6, Matthew 1:22-23

I.  This Prophecy Concerns A Coming King

 Isaiah uses 3 phrases that hint at who he really is:

1. Son of  Man
2. Son of  God
3. King of  kings

II. The Characteristics Of His Kingdom

The names Isaiah uses indicate 4 unique featuresthat make Christ’s kingdom different from any other:

1. His kingdom is not one of confusion—he is a Wonderful Counselor.
2. His kingdom is not one of disorder and defeat—he is Mighty God.
3. His kingdom is not a complicated  bureaucracy—he is the Father of eternity.
4. His kingdom has no conflicts—he is Prince of Peace.
