How is it, that this meek Lamb that looked as though it had been slain overcame death, hell, and the grave? A lamb is defenseless without his shepherd, a lamb doesn't fight back. The power of the Lamb was His Shepherd. A good shepherd is not a hireling, but a good shepherd will lay His life down for the sheep. But this Shepherd is not a shepherd only, He's a Lamb. He knows how to talk lamb's talk. He knows the lambs desires. He knows all about the sheep because He Himself is a Sheep. He knows the experiences a lamb goes through, because He Himself was a Lamb, and had to go through all the experiences a lamb goes through. He became a lamb and overcame by the Spirit that was in Him. Now we have been made like Him, in His image. We, like sheep, have gone astray. But by the Spirit that dwells in us we will overcome. Yield to that Spirit that makes us sheep.
