FOur steps to making disciples

Step 1: Get Help!

"If the Lord doesn't build the house, the builders are working for nothing.  If the Lord doesn't guard the city, the guards are watching for nothing.  It's no use for you to get up early and stay up late, working for a living.  The Lord gives sleep to those he loves."                                                    Psalm 127:1-2

Step 2: Know your purpose.

"Children are a gift from the Lord; babies a reward.  Children who are born to a young man are like arrows in the hand of a warrior."        Psalm 127:3-4

Step 3: Take responsibility for the spiritual formation of your            child.

"You, your children, and your grandchildren must respect the Lord Your God as long as you live.  Obey his rules and commands I give so that you will live a long time... Then all will go well for you, and you will become a great nation in a fertile land."                                                                 Deteronomy 6:2-3

"Love the Lord your God willa l your heart, all y our soul, and all your strength.  Always remember these commands I give today.  Teach them to your children and talk about them when you sit at home and walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."                         Deteronomy 6:5-7

The Bible says two things:

1. Moms and dads must: love God without reservation.

2. Moms and dads must: pass on that love for God at home to their children.

Step 4: never  give up.
