“The Most Important Issue in Marriage”

FOUR BASIC NEEDS ALL HUMANS CRAVE:

1.       ACCEPTANCE: 

          Knowing you are loved and needed by others.

2.       IDENTITY: 

          Knowing you are individually significant and special.

“O Lord you have searched me and you know me...For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.  I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made...”                                                                                      Psalm 139:1,13-14 (NIV)

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.  To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna.  I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it.”                                                                       Revelations 2:17 (NIV)    

3.       SECURITY: 

          Knowing you are well protected and provided for.

 “Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.”                                                                                  Psalm 125:1 (NIV)

 4.       PURPOSE: 

   Knowing you have a reason for living.

 “If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking To, you would ask me, and I would give you living water."                                        John 4:10 (NLT)
