The rescue of Lot demonstrates the nature of grace.  Lot "made his bed" by moving to a region inhabited by the wicked.  Abraham, however, showed kindness and risked his own neck to rescue his nephew.  The King of Salem, Melchizedek, comes to bless Abraham and is given a tithe by Abraham.
