How would we approach life differently if we woke every day expecting the power of God to do something in the world? How can we open our lives to receive the Holy Spirit and be empowered to witness to the love of God through Jesus Christ?

Becoming a Servant

Too often we focus so much on the future that we don't take the time to listen to what God says to us. In making our own plans that we believe will bring us comfort, we miss the lesson Jesus teaches about humility and service. John and James provide a great example by which Jesus makes his point made.

Commitment--Are We Running Like a Hired Hand?

The moral fabric of Western Society is being torn apart. "Commitment" has become a disagreeable word for many. As followers of Christ, we must recommit our lives to Christ and share his love with others. Christ remains committed to defending us from the wolves of life no matter when they come and never abandons us. Can we say the same?

We are not called to remain on the mountain but to go back down transformed to serve others in the name of Christ. If we are comfortable then we are not growing in our faith.

Our Strength and support during times of desperation comes from our faith in God. It is not for us to ask "Why?" but instead to ask "What now?"
