Proverbs 3:5-6 (Wisdom for the Journey)

1. Our Part
1.  Trust - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart"
       - The Journey does not begin with information, but with submission.
2.  Lean not - "Lean not on your own understanding"
       - Solomon advises us to lean on God's understanding not our own.
3.  Acknowledge - "In all your ways acknowledge him"
       - Acknowledge he is Lord, sovereign, Creator, Savior, Healer, Strength, Rock, Provider etc. ALL our ways

In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

2.  God's Part
"He will makes your paths straight"
a.  He will direct you in accordance with His plans
      -Psalm 33:11 "but the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purpose of his heart through all generations."

b.  He works in mysterious ways, but a common way God works to make clear to us the paths to take is through teh holy word of God and the Holy Spirit of God.

To the degree we trust, lean not, and acknowledge, we will realize this promise in our life.
