Blessed  (Matthew 5:3)

To be blessed means to be approved by God

Are the poor in spirit  (Matthew 5:3)

To be poor in spirit is to know that we are spiritually bankrupt

For theirs is the kingdom of heaven  (Matthew 5:3)

The kingdom of heaven is the sovereign rule and reign of God
