Following Jesus is not a part-time voluntary gig. Following Jesus requires giving our full allegiance to him, relinquishing our rights, and our tendencies to place ourselves at the center of our universe. But the great irony is only when we give our lives to Jesus and his mission will we find ultimate meaning, fulfillment, and finally eternal life. While following Jesus and living for his mission requires much its the only way of life that brings hope to our world.
