It’s Time To Be Humble
Living With No Regrets It’s Time To Be Humble Learn from your losses The Lord turned and looked straight at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word the Lord had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows today, you will disown me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly. (Luke 22:61, 62) Take responsibility for your failures “A person who refuses to admit his sins can never be successful. But if he confesses and forsakes them, he discovers God’s mercy.” (Proverbs 28:13) Get complete release from your guilt “But go, tell his disciples and Peter, “He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him just as he told you.” (Mark 16:7) All champions in the bible: 1. Sensed a call 2. Hit the wall 3. Had a fall (on their knees) 4. Rose up and stood tall “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm. (Psalm 20: 7, 8)

Heaven, Who Gets To Go?
Heaven Who Gets To Go? Rev 7:9-10: 9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” Matt. 5:21-24: 21 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ 22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire. 23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way...

Live Passionately
“Living with No Regrets” Live Passionately Luke 5:18-26 When you think about it, we don’t have control over many things in life. We didn’t get to decide where we were born, who are parents are, or which time period or culture we live in. We don’t get to decide the dates on our gravestone. Only God knows when out time is up on this earth. It could be next week or next year or decades away. But there is one thing we have a vast amount of control over. We get to decide how we are going to live today! “So love the Lord God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence and energy.” Mark 12:30 (Msg) “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.” Rom. 12:11 (NIV) 1. Step out of the routine and do something drastic (verse 18) Realize its do or die! 2. Push back when meeting the unexpected (verse 19) Miracles seem more frequent beyond the point of our normal response. 3. Create space for God where there seems to be no space (verse 19) 4. Accept the grace He extends to you (verse 20) 5. Keep a reminder of the remarkable things you see each day. (Verse 24-26)

Titus Chapter 3
Titus Chapter 3 Paul urges them to REMEMBER: 1. Remember how you are called to live (Titus 3:1-2) 2. Remember who you were (Titus 3:3) 3. Remember what God did for you (Titus 3:4-7) 4. Remember your mission in this world (Titus 3:8-11) The good news of God... ...is that while we were at our worst, Jesus died for us which freed us from our penalty of death. 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10 9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,10 who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him.

Titus Chapter 2
In chapter 1 we saw why Paul wanted elders in every city in Crete: To protect the purity and integrity of the gospel. Now in Chapter II we see what Paul wanted Titus to teach to the people of Crete. “… speak the things which are fitting for sound doctrine.” (vs. 1) 3 Reasons Paul Gives Titus for Teaching Sound Doctrine: 1. So that no-one can malign the Word of God. (vs 5) 2. So that those who oppose you may be ashamed, because they have nothing bad to say. (vs 8) 3. So that the teaching about God is attractive. (vs 10) 11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.12 It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self‑controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,13 while we wait for the blessed hope–the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

Titus Chapter 1
In chapter 1 we will look at Paul’s instruction to Titus to set up Church eldership on the island of Crete. Why did they need elders and what were they protecting against? What kind of people was the Apostle Paul looking for? QUALIFICATION FOR ELDERSHIP (Verses 5-9) An elder must be above reproach. A good elder/leader must be a tested follower of Christ’s teaching. REASON FOR ELDERSHIP (Verses 10-16) To protect against religious tradition & commandments of men. To protect against the JESUS-AND gospel. The JESUS-AND gospel can only lead to: 1. Pride 2. Despair 3. Apathy 16 They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed. Practical atheism is when we SAY we believe in God but by our ACTIONS we deny is authority in our lives.

Standing Tall in Tough Times - Jim Polhemus
Standing Tall in Tough Times This morning we will examine 3 men who are well known biblical characters, and who failed in situations to stand up for what they believed. Pilate, Aaron, and Solomon all wanted to satisfy the crowd. They gave us 3 fundamental flaws that we want to stay away from. 1. They didn’t speak up when they knew something was wrong. (Mark 15:10, Exodus 32:22, 1 Kings 11:2) 2. They went along with the “mob-mentality”. (Mark 15:14, Exodus 32:23, 1 Kings 11:4) 3. They succumbed to peer pressure. (Mark 15:15, Exodus 32:23, 1 Kings 11:6) These men were politically powerful, religiously connected, and in Solomon’s case, the greatest in riches & wisdom above all other kings of the earth. (1 Kings 10:23) We as Christians can take 3 steps to stand tall amidst the everyday pressures we face. 1. Develop a solid Christ based foundation from which everything else grows. (Matt. 7:24-29) 2. Develop the ability to stand against opposition. (Galatians 5:1) 3. Practice clear thinking in difficult times. (Colossians 3:1-4) Joseph, Daniel, and Stephen displayed strength in order to impact their situations and make a lasting change. 1. Joseph ~ Genesis 39:9-23 2. Daniel ~ 6:10-23 3. Stephen ~ Acts 7:1-60
