III. God’s plan for men and women to have distinct roles and responsibilities is clear in Scripture. 

A.  The Family

  • Truths
    • Women are spiritually equal to men and should be treated as such
    • The ministry of women in the church & world is crucial and should be highly honored.
    • Men who lead in the church & home should be mature men that all can honor

IV.. Our testimony to the world will be enhanced or hindered by fulfilling our God-given roles.

V.   There is no substitute to Christ-likeness in a relationship.

I.  For Starters:

  1. What do you see as the most pressing problem between male and female relationships today?
  2. How have you grown as a man or a woman over the past year?

II. Overview of Scripture

  1. Read 1 Corinthians 11:1-16 out loud. Point out what you see about relationships, hierarchy, submission etc.
  2. Read 1 Peter 3:1-7. What stands out to you concerning male and female relationships? What is difficult about this passage?

III.  Growing deeper

1.       Review Sunday’s message with someone.

2.      Pray for one another to glorify God in our singleness or our married lives.
