From the earliest days of the church, Jesus followers have been persecuted. Today persecution ranges from being mocked and marginalized in our city to imprisonment, beating, sexual abuse, and death in many countries around the globe. As we read the stories of persecution in Scripture, we are challenged to respond with courage, knowing that God is actively at work in our world.
