THINGS GOD CAN'T DO

   1. Lie

          * Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

          * Titus 1:1 Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ for the faith of God's elect and the knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness-- 1:2 a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time,

          * Hebrews 6:18 God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope offered to us may be greatly encouraged.

            My covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that has gone out of my lips.

   2. Act in Opposition to His Word

          * Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

          * Hebrews 6:13 When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself, 6:14 saying, "I will surely bless you and give you many descendants."

   3. Look upon sin or unrighteousness

          * Matthew 27:46 About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"-- which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

          * Psalm 66:18 If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; 66:19 but God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer.

            Isa 59:2  But your wrongs have separated you from your God, and your sins have made him hide his face so that he doesn't hear you.

   4. Forsake His children

          * Psalm 66:18 If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; 66:19 but God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer.

          * Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

          * Psalm 94:14 For the LORD will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance.

            Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, he is the one who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.

   5. Fail to keep His Word

          * 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

   6. Share first place in your life

          * Isaiah 42:8 "I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not give my glory to another or my praise to idols.

          * Isaiah 48:11 For my own sake, for my own sake, I do this. How can I let myself be defamed? I will not yield my glory to another.

          * Exodus 34:14 Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

          * Exodus 20:5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

          * Deuteronomy 4:24 For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.

          * Deuteronomy 6:15 for the LORD your God, who is among you, is a jealous God and his anger will burn against you, and he will destroy you from the face of the land.

          * Deuteronomy 32:21 They made me jealous by what is no god and angered me with their worthless idols. I will make them envious by those who are not a people; I will make them angry by a nation that has no understanding.

   7. Remember repented sins

          * Isaiah 43:25 "I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.

          * Micah 7:18 Who [is] a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth [in] mercy. 7:19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

          * Isaiah 44:22 I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you."

          * Isaiah 43:25 "I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.

   8. Be tricked

          * Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

          * Romans 2:6 God "will give to each person according to what he has done."

   9. Be tempted

          * James 1:13 When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.

 10. Turn a deaf ear to a repentant sinner or believer

          * Joel 2:32 And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the LORD has said, among the survivors whom the LORD calls.

          * Acts 2:21 And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

          * Romans 10:12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile-- the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 10:13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

11.  God can't get tired.
            Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary.

12.  God can’t take on a job He can’t handle

            Ah, Lord God! Behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for you.
—Jeremiah 32:17

13.  God can’t be prejudiced

            In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears him and works righteousness is accepted by him.
—Acts 10:34-35

               Gal 3:28  There are neither Jews nor Greeks, slaves nor free people, males nor females. You are all the same in Christ Jesus.

        Col 3:10  and you've become a new person. This new person is continually renewed in knowledge to be like its Creator.

               Col 3:11  Where this happens, there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, uncivilized person, slave, or free person. Instead, Christ is everything and in everything.

14.  God can’t stop loving you

               Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.

15. God can’t neglect His children. Matthew 7:11

19. God can’t be unknown to those who want to know Him. Jeremiah 29:13

23. God can’t give us a spirit of fear. II Timothy 1:7
24. God can’t be unloving. I john 4:8

26. God’s love can’t be measured. John 3:16

31. God’s sheep can’t be plucked from His hands. John 10:28
