Undercurrents: Anger

“Don’t sin by letting anger control you. Think about it overnight and remain silent."  Psalm 4:4

“And ‘don’t sin by letting anger control you.’ Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry…” Ephesians 4:26

Little Steps with Anger:

  1. NOTICE it
    v1 “Jesus … noticed…”

  2. Maintain CONTROL
    v3 “…Come and stand in front…”
    v5 “He looked … angrily…”

“If you cannot control your anger, you are as helpless as a city without walls, open to attack.”
    (Proverbs 25:28, GNT)

  3. Stay FOCUSED
    v5 “…looked at them…”

  4. Watch your WORDS
v4 “Then he turned to his critics and asked…”

“A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare.”
    (Proverbs 15:1)

         v5 “…and was deeply saddened…”

“Sensible people control their temper; they earn respect by
overlooking wrongs.”  (Proverbs 19:11)
