Faith – Minus the Frills, Fables, and FogProverbs 3:5-8; Psalms 37:3-7My task over the course is this series is very simple and very clear: to build and increase your faith so that you will begin to really believe God for your best! I want you to have the best life possible. Step One: For that has been, say, “THANKS!” For all that shall be say “YES!” “Your future is so bright it burns my eyes!” (Oprah Winfrey) But You Gotta Have Faith!! 2 Corinthians 5:7, “For we walk by faith and not by sight!” According to Scripture, faith is necessary for 3 reasons:· Faith is necessary for salvation (Ephesians 2:8; Hebrews 11:6)· Faith is necessary to please God (Hebrews 11:6)· Faith is necessary to achieve the impossible (Mat. 17:14-21)“There is nothing harder to stop than a person who wants to believe a miracle!” Be forewarned that I’m here to tell you the truth about faith. I’m not going to tell you stuff about faith that sounds good but fails you in the end. This is the “no-frills” version of faith. A No-Frills, No-Fables, and No-Fog Faith
- Faith is not superstition. Faith is related to God, not objects or activities.
- Faith is not witchcraft. Faith gives up control!
- Faith is not the same as optimism.
- Faith is not religion.
- Faith is not a strategy; it’s a way of life.
- Faith is Fundamental Trust in God’s goodness.
- Faith doesn’t decrease with spiritual maturity.
