Believing God for Your Best:  Noah’s Story

Genesis 5:32-9:29 I hope everyone of us wants to have and live the best life that God has to offer us!I want that for you even if you don’t want it for yourself!! Here’s what I know: the best way to have that best life is to trust God for it!  So, my goal is to build your faith so that you will trust God enough to have the best that He has to offer you!   Two Scriptures are key:  Proverbs 3:5-7; Psalms 37:3-7aNot asking you to trust doctrine;  Asking you to trust a Person:  God! Begin with this:  “THANKS”  and “YES! Noah’s StoryNoah’s trust in God led him to be the first great hero of the Biblical story.  Walking by faith – trusting God – will lead you to be a “first” many times, and will lead you to be a hero to many! When Noah looked at his lineage, there wasn’t a lot be excited or hopeful about.  All he saw was that his great grandfather was so close to God that one day he just disappeared, and that nearly every one of his foreparents lived a very long time. Noah’s faith in God kept him from limiting his life to the nature of the family into which he was born. The one thing that Noah got from his family was that he would probably live a very long time.  That’s what they gave him.  Sometimes, a whole life can be designed to set the stage for those who come after!!!!!! Noah’s faith in God helped him to transcend his decadent context!  Faith gives us courage! Noah’s faith gave him the strength for simple, mindless, persistent obedience to God’s directives! Noah’s faith caused him to be God’s tool for salvaging creation and saving his family!!!
