Season of Peace

The second Sunday of Advent focuses on Peace. What does it mean that Jesus brought peace on earth at Christmas? The world doesn't always seem that peaceful, right? One thing we do see from the birth narrative in Luke 2 is that Jesus peacefully brought all kinds of people together. God can bring peace to our relationships! And there may be no better time to find that peace than at Christmas! Is there a relationship that needs peace in your life? Seek out that peace and trust that God can bring it!

Lean Into Hope

The first Sunday of advent is the Sunday of Hope. In the message, we will be looking at Matthew 1:18-25 and the Christmas story through the eyes of Joseph. Everything that happened had to be shocking to Joseph. He was given many reasons to doubt and to disengage. But instead, Joseph decided to follow hope and to lean into this opportunity. His world and THE world would be forever changed. May we follow Joseph's lead and lean into the opportunities of Christmas!

Called to Thanksgiving

We will be looking at Paul's incredible attitude as his life and ministry come to a close. You wouldn't know it from Paul's words, but this point in his life is still filled with hurts and persecutions. Through it all, Paul saw God's Hand and Guidance and he saw the blessing of God's followers. May we catch Paul's thankful and encouraging spirit! And may we be thankful through whatever life brings our way!

Called All or Nothing

Here we see Paul and other followers of Jesus Christ give their all to the ministry and spiritual care of others. This comes from incredible personal sacrifice. In this way, we learn that "A True Follower" of Jesus Christ is called to give their all for God. May this be true of us as well!

Called to God's Standards

From Acts 18:1-17, we see Paul's determination to press on in the face of failure, criticism, and a difficult situation. Paul knows that in God there is always hope. He also knows that his personal value is found in God. So Paul holds himself to God's standards, not the world's. This morning, no matter what others say, no matter what your past says, no matter what your current situation says- you are of incredible value and worth! Hold your head high and live for God!
