Basic Definitions
Love – Biblical love is being willing to do what is best for another person. What is best is never something God forbids and is always the action that brings the most glory to God.
Hate – The word ‘hate’ only recently began to mean ‘disapprove’. To hate someone means to intensely dislike someone. The strongest expression of hate is the desire to someone suffer forever in hell. It is also hateful to think so little of someone that you do not care if they suffer forever in hell.
What does God say about homosexuality?
Genesis 13:13, 18:20, 19:1-14, Jude 7
13:13 Now the men of Sodom were wicked, great sinners against the Lord.
18:20 Then the Lord said, “Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great and their sin is very grave…
19:1 The two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them and bowed himself with his face to the earth 2 and said, “My lords, please turn aside to your servant's house and spend the night and wash your feet. Then you may rise up early and go on your way.” They said, “No; we will spend the night in the town square.” 3 But he pressed them strongly; so they turned aside to him and entered his house. And he made them a feast and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.
4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both young and old, all the people to the last man, surrounded the house. 5 And they called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us, that we may know them.” 6 Lot went out to the men at the entrance, shut the door after him, 7 and said, “I beg you, my brothers, do not act so wickedly. 8 Behold, I have two daughters who have not known any man. Let me bring them out to you, and do to them as you please. Only do nothing to these men, for they have come under the shelter of my roof.” 9 But they said, “Stand back!” And they said, “This fellow came to sojourn, and he has become the judge! Now we will deal worse with you than with them.” Then they pressed hard against the man Lot, and drew near to break the door down. 10 But the men reached out their hands and brought Lot into the house with them and shut the door. 11 And they struck with blindness the men who were at the entrance of the house, both small and great, so that they wore themselves out groping for the door.
12 Then the men said to Lot, “Have you anyone else here? Sons-in-law, sons, daughters, or anyone you have in the city, bring them out of the place. 13 For we are about to destroy this place, because the outcry against its people has become great before the Lord, and the Lord has sent us to destroy it.” 14 So Lot went out and said to his sons-in-law, who were to marry his daughters, “Up! Get out of this place, for the Lord is about to destroy the city.” But he seemed to his sons-in-law to be jesting.
Jude 7 just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.
· The homosexual activity of Sodom and Gomorrah was unnatural, wicked, and sinful. For their wickedness and sin they are being punished with eternal fire.
Leviticus 18:22, 24-30
22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination. … 24 “Do not make yourselves unclean by any of these things, for by all these the nations I am driving out before you have become unclean, 25 and the land became unclean, so that I punished its iniquity, and the land vomited out its inhabitants. 26 But you shall keep my statutes and my rules and do none of these abominations, either the native or the stranger who sojourns among you 27 (for the people of the land, who were before you, did all of these abominations, so that the land became unclean), 28 lest the land vomit you out when you make it unclean, as it vomited out the nation that was before you. 29 For everyone who does any of these abominations, the persons who do them shall be cut off from among their people. 30 So keep my charge never to practice any of these abominable customs that were practiced before you, and never to make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God.”
· Homosexual sex is an abomination.
· It makes a person unclean.
· It is iniquity.
· It makes the land unclean.
Leviticus 20:13, 22-23
13 If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them. … 22 “You shall therefore keep all my statutes and all my rules and do them, that the land where I am bringing you to live may not vomit you out. 23 And you shall not walk in the customs of the nation that I am driving out before you, for they did all these things, and therefore I detested them.
· Homosexual sex is an abomination.
· Homosexual sex is a sin that leads to death.
· God detests those who reject Him and pursue sexual sin instead.
I Corinthians 6:9-10
9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
· Practicing homosexuals who will not repent will not inherit the kingdom of God.
I Timothy 1:8-10
8 Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully, 9 understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, 10 the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine, 11 in accordance with the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted.
· Homosexual sex is lawless, disobedient, ungodly, sinful, unholy, profane, and contrary to sound doctrine.
Romans 1:18-32
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.
24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. 29 They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32 Though they know God's decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.
· Homosexual lust is dishonorable. Homosexual sex is contrary to nature.
· Homosexual lust and practice is one of the most graphic results of rejecting God as the One who is in charge of everything and to whom all worship is due. God gives those who refuse to worship Him up to these dishonorable passions.
Why is homosexuality wrong?
· God created marriage between a man and a woman as a picture of His covenant love for His people and sex as a picture of intimacy with Him and pleasure in His presence.
· God created us male and female to teach the world about the relationship between Christ and the Church. God has given us specific instructions about how men and women are to relate to one another in marriage. When we mix up God’s order for marriage relationships and sex, we present a false gospel to the world. (Ephesians 5:22-32)
· Ultimately, homosexuality is wrong because God says that it’s wrong.

· Fact: The Bible says homosexuality is sinful.
· What if you believe that homosexuality is not sinful?
· Then, you do not believe the Bible.
· If you believe the Bible is God’s Word, but you do not believe the Bible
· Then, you believe that God is a liar.
· If you do not believe the Bible is God’s Word
· Then, how can you know God?
· Christians believe that God has revealed His character and His will by speaking through His true and errorless Word.
· If you persist in believing that God is a liar or that the Bible is not God’s Word, you are denying the Christian faith. Even if you claim to be a Christian, you most likely are not but instead have created your own religion.

But what about…
…if the love each other?
While they may be strongly attracted to each other, care for each other, and even want to have an exclusive committed relationship with one another, if God forbids their desires and their actions, then they are not really loving each other.
…if they are born homosexual?
(What if they didn’t choose their homosexual desires?)
· There is no real scientific evidence that people are born homosexual.
· Because of sin, all creation, including our bodies, is under a curse. We get sick and die. Our bodies are messed up, even at the genetic level.
· We are sinful even before we are born (Psalm 51:5).
· Most homosexuals probably at first did not choose to have homosexual desires.
· We all face sexual temptation, including the temptation to lust. Do we have to give in to it? If I am tempted to lust after a woman who is not my wife, do I have to give in to the temptation? Does the fact that I face temptation make me an adulterer? Should I say that I did not choose these desires so they must be right? Should I “follow my heart” and commit adultery? Or am I responsible before God to flee temptation, lust, and sexual immorality and trust and obey God instead. Even if the temptation is not a choice or is something genetic, we are without excuse before God if we give in to temptation and sin.
…if they aren’t hurting anyone?
Sin is always destructive:
· Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
· I Corinthians 6:18 - Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.
· Matthew 18:5-6 “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, 6 but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.”
So, how do we respond?
“Speaking the truth…”
We do not back down on God’s truth about homosexuality as He has revealed it in His Word.
2 Thessalonians 2:10 speaks of “those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.”
People need to know that they are harming themselves, that homosexual desires and actions really are sin, and that the wages of sin is death, judgment, and the wrath of God.
“…in love” (Ephesians 4:15)
Is it loving to tell people that they are sinning against God and that their sin is worthy of eternal torment in Hell?
Yes, because they need to know and understand the danger they are in so that they can call out to God to save them from their sin and the death penalty they deserve and be saved by trusting in Jesus Christ.
We must present the truth kindly, praying that those we are witnessing to will see our love for them and understand that we are bringing them the good news of a God who offers much greater love than we can give.
They need to know the Good News about Jesus!
I Corinthians 6:9-11 “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
There is hope! Jesus Christ died to save sinners and has saved and changed many former homosexuals so that they are clean, holy, and justified before God. There is no homosexual person whom God cannot rescue and make new.

is a total contradiction and lets face it your making yourself look just plain stupid.I don't blame homosexuals from running away from the CHURCH not God its because the Church hasn't a clue what they are saying.
For a person who has no experince of being a Homosexual and knowing the struggle to have a relationship with God to stand up and say they're right is sad.I feel sorry for you because your tellling someone they are "wrong" because your actually putting someone on a lower level than you to make yourself look higer than them and for thinking that homosexuals only have attraction for each other and not love is actually sterotyping people not very christian there are we.Have you actually met a Gay person?
