That Christmas angel announced to the world two-thousand years ago that Christmas is about joy.  Everyone knows that Christmastime is the most joyful time of the year.  Think about it - you see more smiles, hear more laughter, attend more parties, you entertain and are entertained more than at any other time of the year.  Amazingly, this joy is all tied to gifts - the gifts we give and the gifts we receive.

 

 

One of the things that makes Christmas so fun is the sheer anticipation, both from those who get gifts and those who give gifts.  Has it ever occurred to you that the reason that we have such joy at Christmas changes as we mature?  When you are younger (particularly your children and teenage years) the joy is the joy of anticipating getting gifts.  You make your list and you hope that you get everything that you want and then wonder if you will.
