Chapter 4 & 5 are a preparation for 6 & 7. We are dealing with the history of the world, from the time of Christ’s ascension to the time of His second coming. We are looking at why the Lamb is worthy in chapter 5. Let’s look at this through the sights John saw, and the songs he heard.
How does Christ deal with the doubts of the men on the road to Emmaus? We deal with the circumstances, their doubts, the Lords rebuke and instruction, his self-revelation and their return to Jerusalem.
Here in Revelation we get a glimpse of heaven. Heaven is a place of worship. We will look at: The one who is to be worshipped. The manner of our worship.
When we talk about freedom we have to know what we are free from. God does not want anyone putting constraints or restrictions on any of His people that prevent or hinder them from serving Him as He desires. Let us see what God can make us free from. The preacher looks at these freedoms promised, won, attacked and defended.
Backsliding does not happen overnight. Where does backsliding come from, it comes from the heart? Are we ministering to the house or to the Lord? Are we scattered or wondering, can we draw close to God? God is concerned for His name sake. So what is the cure? Separation from the world is first. Conviction of sin. God will give you a new sprit and a new heart. When we look to God he will do these things and much more.
