Note: the first 22 seconds did not get recorded. This sermon includes a testimony by Michaelle Benz (beginning 37 minutes into the recording). INTRODUCTION: Romans 10:14-15; Isaiah 52:7; Romans 3:15. I. WHY WE ARE TO SHARE THE GOSPEL - A. Unbelievers will spend eternity in hell (Luke 16:19-23; Mark 9:43-49; Revelation 20:11-15; Romans 9:2-3). B. God's word commands us to share the gospel and make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20; Psalm 107:2; 2 Timothy 4:5). II. TOOLS FOR SHARING THE GOSPEL - A. God's word produces saving faith (Romans 10:14, 10:17). B. Your personal testimony can help produce a desire for salvation. III. ENCOURAGEMENT FOR SHARING THE GOSPEL - A. God's word will accomplish God's purpose (Isaiah 55:10-11). B. God desires the salvation of unbelievers (1 Timothy 2:4; II Peter 3:9; Ezekiel 33:11). C. The gospel has the power to transform lives (Romans 1:16). PERSONAL APPLICATION (In order to be a doer or the word and not just a hearer I will do the following): --> I will go before God in prayer and ask Him to search my heart (Psalm 139:23-24); --> I will ask God to help me to be obedient in sharing the gospel with unbelievers; --> I will pray for those unbelievers that I know personally; --> I will ask God to give me wisdom and sensitivity when I am around unbelievers in order to effectively share the gospel with them.

God 101
Acts 17:16-34 Perhaps the most underrated member of the Holy Trinity is the Holy Spirit. Nevertheless, the ministry of the Holy Spirit plays a vital role in the lives of believers - not only in salvation, but in sanctification. The Holy Spirit is also our spiritual guide, sent by Jesus Christ to help us interpret the truths of His Word and to help us to live through Him as we pass through this world. He enables us to learn about God and to know Him as we mature as Christians. Those who do not know God are destined to stumble through life not knowing where they came from or where they are headed. They are wandering blind through this life without purpose or direction. This is unfortunate because what comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us. This is significant because all of us live our lives based on our view of God and where we will spend eternity depends on what our view of God is. Fortunately, God provides us with a clear understanding of Who He is in His written Word - the Bible. One of the clearest, most concise testaments about Who God is can be found in Luke's account of the apostle Paul's sermon on Mars Hill. In his address to the intellectuals at Amphipolis, Paul provides us with a masterful model on how to share the gospel with those who are groping around in the dark, trying to understand Who God is. In Acts 17, Paul explained two basic facts about God - His Character (vv. 24-29), and His Command (vv. 30-34). We see that God is the Creator, Ruler, Sustainer, Controller, Seeker, and Father. We are called to not only believe in Him, but also to change our lives in accordance with His statutes and commands. Repentance and faith are essential demonstrations of how much we know about the God Who created us. Knowing Who God is and what He requires are things that everyone needs to know in order to have a proper view of God. Don't put off the opportunity to get a right view of God. Embrace the opportunity to establish a personal relationship with His Son, the only One chosen by God to rescue us from His wrath. For those who are already followers of Christ, may it move us to be more active and faithful, for we know what is to come!
