Love for other Christians proves that we have eternal life (3:14-15). But how can we discern genuine from fake love? Explain all the standards for identifying love you find in 3:16-18.

Why is Godlike love so difficult for most of us to exhibit? What beliefs, priorities, fears, etc. make us more prone to hatred than love?
