Pornographication: Why Men Don't Respect Women
Pornography is a topic that the church doesn't deal with very often. It is extremely uncomfortable to discuss, and many pastors themselves deal with it, so who are they to speak on it? We are going to talk about it this week because it is a very important issue, one that is having profound effects on society, but more importantly, one that is having profound effects on people, men and women, you and me.
Mark - Amazed
Matt continues our look into Mark with a look at how Jesus amazed people with His teachings and miracles.
Pornographication 2: A woman's struggle
If this topic is ever talked about, it is usually addressed as a man's "struggle". Rarely is a woman's battle with porn mentioned. I am afraid this leaves many of my sisters feeling alone, confused, ashamed, and messed up, like they are some kind of sick-o, slut, or freak. This week, a woman's perspective on pornography is shared, and a strong call is made to step up and, with God's help, achieve victory in this area.
Ephesians 2:1-10, Saved By Grace Through Faith
Matt shares tonight that we are saved from our sins by the grace of God, that there is no way to earn our salvation or to be "righteous" enough to not need it.
In the Beginning
Matt Heerema shares that creation is a picture of God's mercy and justice when he gave us the earth. All of creation always points to God as the creator except for us. We are given the choice to love God, or reject Him, for if we have no choice would it be love? Sin entered the world when Adam and Eve betrayed God's command and God created a convenant nation of Israel and gave system of sacrifices to pay for their sins. Despite the sacrifices Israel still fell awaay from God and He allowed them to be conquered by other nations.
