JESUS CHRIST IS OUR LAWGIVER AS MOSES WAS FOR ISRAEL
ONE 'GREATER THAN MOSES' IS NOW THE AUTHORITY FOR GOD'S PEOPLE
Heb 3:3 For this One has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as He who built the house has more honour than the house.
A CHANGE OF COVENANT – OLD TO NEW – ESTABLISHES JESUS CHRIST AS LORD
Heb 8:13 In that He says, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
Col 1:18 He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the pre-eminence.
LAW ONCE WRITTEN ON TABLETS OF STONE ARE NOW WRITTEN ON MEN'S HEARTS
Heb 8:10 "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
This Is That Which Paul Refers to as The law of Christ v.2
Heb 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law.
As the authority of the Law and the priesthood is the same, Christ became not only a priest, hut also a Lawgiver; so that the right of Aaron, as well as of Moses, was transferred to him. The sum of the whole is, that the ministry of Moses was no less temporary than that of Aaron; and hence both were annulled by the coming of Christ, for the one could not stand without the other. THE LAW GIVEN THROUGH MOSES, IS FULFILLED BY HIM, AND HE ESTABLISHES HIS AUTHORITY
Mt 5:21,27,33,38,43 "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not murder, ... adultery, ... swear falsely, ... An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth,... love your neighbour and hate your enemy.
Mt 5:44 "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, vv.34, 32; 28, 22

Ex 19:5 ‘Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. Jer 22:21 I spoke to you in your prosperity, But you said, ‘I will not hear.’ This has been your manner from your youth, That you did not obey My voice.

Living By Faith Means Trusting Him To Save You And To Direct You In All Of Your Relationships
Joh 15:12 "This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
Joh 13:34 "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
He loved sinners and gave himself for them (2:20); on the cross he bore the terrible burden of the law’s curse against them (3:13); he set them free from the burden of the yoke of slavery under the law (5:1). 
The law of Christ includes all the commandments of the Lord Jesus for His people found in the NT. It may be summarized by the commandment, “that you love one another” (John 13:34; 15:12). Believer's B C
Rom 13:9,10 For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not bear false witness," "You shall not covet," and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbour as yourself. Love does no harm to a neighbour; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
1Th 4:9 But concerning brotherly love you have no need that I should write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another
1Jo 3:16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
PAUL'S INSTRUCTION IN 6:2 IS AN APPEAL FOR ITS APPLICATION – ITS A CHOICE YOU MAKE
Your Response To Such A Command Reveals The Condition Of Your Heart 5:15-26
Rather Than Being Judgemental, Every Believer Is To Help And Encourage All Who Are Christ's the context the command seems to be directed primarily to the burdens of sin referred to in 6:1. 
Sin always has a kind of domino effect in a person’s life. The consequences of one moral failure can be multiplied almost indefinitely. For example, the sin of fornication, sexual union before marriage, may seem natural in the heat of passion. But then the young woman finds out that she is pregnant. And the burdens caused by a moment of sin start to multiply. 
The picture here is of two travellers. One overtakes the other, who is carrying a load too heavy to bear, which has caused him to stumble. So he helps the fallen brother to his feet and shoulders part of the burden.
“burdens” represents spiritual weaknesses that can cause a fall. We can help bear such burdens through encouragement, exhortation, and accountability. Something as simple as developing a friendship can have a wonderfully strengthening effect on a weak Christian. J. MacArthur
Ro 12:5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.

Rom 2:14,15 for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them)

1Jo 2:5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.
We expect faithfulness and reliability from things and other people. Does not God expect the same from us? The problem is that in our religious activities we see ourselves as volunteers rather than as duty bound (1 Cor. 9). For a volunteer, almost anything seems acceptable. For a bondservant who is duty bound, faithfulness is expected (Matt. 25:21). M P Green

He hired an aged cabby, and offered to pay his usual fare and tend his horse while he went to hear Moody preach. Jesus Our Lawgiver:Christ likes us to be obedient to him, though he speaks to us less as a Lawgiver than as a Savior and a Friend. If we refuse to take his yoke upon us and learn of him, how can we reasonably expect to find rest unto our souls?
