Christmas celebrates the coming of God himself into his broken world to set things right. With the coming of Christ is the coming of a new creation, a new birth, and a new covenant community. God Himself, who created all things, has come to recreate your world. This is how John begins the story that ends with, “believe and have life in his name.” The whole point is that you would believe...and if you believe, that you'd now see yourself as a new creation. This is worth celebrating. Merry Christmas!
