Paul has written a letter to the young believers at Thessalonica sharing how much he longed to be with them. But when circumstances prevented that from happening, he sent Timothy to check on their progress in the Lord. Upon Timothy's return, he only had a positive and encouraging report to bring back to Paul and Silas. Sometimes, there's no substitute for having face-to-face contact with the people you love. But through a commitment to keeping in communication and through prayer, we can bring those far away close as we grow in the Lord.

We need to live in God’s righteousness, peace and joy on the inside all the time, not just cry out to God for it when we are in a crisis. Our soul is prospering when we are walking in step with Holy Spirit.
