Trusting God When it Doesn't Make Sense "Outnumbered" Gideon and His Men
Gideon doubted that he could do what God asked of him -- doubted that he was suffienctly equipped to accomplish the task God assigned him. And God answered by taking away most of Gideon's army and telling him to go ahead into battle, and rely on God to deliver the victory. In other words, God told Gideon to rely less on himself and more on God. This is the same message that God sends us today: We need to rely less on our own abilities and more on God's faithfulness.
