Sermons About Acceptance
A Father's Heart
It's no secret that father's have a tremendous amount of influence over how we experience life. Their affect can be very good or very bad. Every one of us is impacted by what we believe our fathers think of us. Fortunately for all of us, we have a heavenly Father who longs to show us how valuable we are. From this relationship comes a life lived "from approval" rather than "for approval", which makes all the difference in the world when it comes to healthy, vibrant living.

The Amazing Jesus is Accepting
Jesus accepts every one of us no matter who we are or what we look like. His acceptance reaches beyond all barriers. Knowing this fills a void created by the world. People need to know God loves them just like they are and no barriers are too great for His touch. The church needs to eliminate man-made barriers, learn to love people in spite of their sin, reach out to others and keep an eternal focus on living.

Acceptance and Rejection
There is a distinction between suffering and rejection. If Jesus only suffered, he would have been no different than an honored hero - a Martin Luther King, Jr., or a 9-11 firefighter. But he didn't just suffer. He was also rejected. Welcome to God's peculiar plan in which glory emerges in rejection.

Accept One Another
On those occasions that we keep from voicing our opinions about what we like & what we don’t like, and instead focus on where someone is before God, we send a message to each other: "No matter our differences of opinion, the truth is that I love you, Brother. I love you, Sister."

Unmerciful Servant
Don't miss the lines from this song: "Oh the Glory of it all, is He came near. For the rescue of us all, that we may live, for the glory of it all, oh He is here. Redemption from the fall, that we may live..." That's big. Massive. Almost incomprehensible. The weight of understanding what Jesus did coming down here for us - you and me and the guy across the the row from you too. All of us. In your day to day, in your coming and going it sometimes is hard to remember, isn't it? In your problems, in your hurts, in your debts, in your debtors in can be hard to remember as well. But that doesn't mean it is any smaller. It is still glorious. You are forgiven. You are accepted. You need to frogive. You need to accept. You need to remember. Key Passage: Matthew 18:23-35

Adopted Children Can Face Life Fearlessly - Romans 8:14-18
In Romans 8:14-18, Paul encourages the Roman church with the news that they have been adopted as true children of God. As God’s people today, we can take this same encouragement, knowing that our loving Father protects us through suffering, provides for us through our failings, and accepts us though others may reject us. We can face life without fear.
