The Ministry of Jesus Begins
Jesus reads from the scripture in Isaiah in the synagogue and confirms that the scripture has been fulfilled. When Jesus went into the wilderness and fasted for 40 days, he was able to focus and concentrate on the spirit and power of God that was already there. So, just as Jesus did, we can also do by "fasting", by depriving ourselves or removing a distraction in our life that keeps us from experiencing the spirit and power of God that is already and always there with us. God has something for us to do. The power of the Holy Spirit is within us to accomplish great things.
