The Performance Trap - Parent Trap #3
Parents are the most influential people in a child’s life. Good parents always want what is best for their children. They want good things for their kids: to be happy, productive and moral. But good things out of place can become dangerous. Well meaning parents regularly step into traps that poison a child’s faith in the name of something good. Don’t fall into the "Parent Trap." By looking at major Bible themes, Lead Pastor Jeff Lawrence helps parents avoid the traps that damage a child’s faith. Pastor Training
The Gwin Turner Pastor Training Sessions with speaker Christopher Lewton: Jesus defeated the devil in the Temptation [Matthew 4:1-1l], in His life [John 14:30], and in His death on the cross [Revelation 1:18]. When He rose from the dead, and ascended to the right hand of the Father, He stripped the demons of their power [Colossians 2:14-15]. In His death and resurrection Jesus forever destroyed the devil’s power over us [Hebrews 2:14-15]. He gave this authority over the devil to His disciples when He was here in earth, and we still have that authority today [Luke 10:17-21]. When we resist the devil he has to flee from us [James 4:7].

The Purpose of the Law - Galatians #7
As we have been walking through the book of Galatians, one message has come through loud and clear--we cannot relate to God on the basis of obedience to a list of commands, rules, or guidelines. God's grace is the only means we have to enter into a relationship with God and the only means we have to walk with Him every day as a follower of Christ. And as we move ahead in Galatians chapter 3 today, Paul will answer the question for us, "What is the purpose of the law, then?"

Sharing Our Stories of Faith With Others--Galatians #6
How can we as a church better focus our lives toward those who are outside of the faith on a daily basis? First, we must ask good questions with genuine interest and concern. Next, we must learn to communicate our stories of faith more effectively. God will continue to use us to be a blessing in the lives of others as we sharpen those skills.

Living in the Realm of Grace - Galatians #5
What makes the Christian faith like no other? The good news of God’s grace is the bold claim that we are accepted by God not because we “follow the rules†or “fit the mold†but because Jesus gave his own life to rescue us. But many of us are still trying to earn God’s love with our performance rather than living in the freedom that Jesus has provided for us. In Galatians, Paul warns against the danger of religious systems that value people on grounds of accomplishment or status or cultural agreement. These things lock away our freedom in the futility of legalism, moral superiority and cultural arrogance. Focusing on either the racial/ethnic/cultural superiority or the moral successes of good works denies the gospel and divides Jesus’ followers. Join us as we explore how God offers us true freedom in Jesus and how the freedom of Christ transforms our hearts, our minds and lives.
