Sermons About Acts-5
Holding Back From God
Holding back from God is not a new problem. The israelites did it, they would bring their leftovers to God instead of their best. Annais and Saphira didn't have to give all their money to the disciples, they did not have to lie. They wanted the status that came with giving the gift without the sacrifice. We can not lie to God and we are not to hold back from him. We hold back from God everyday by giving him the leftovers in our instead of our week. We are to no longer hold back from God.

Worthy Suffering (Acts 5:12-42)
The question we face is not if we will suffer, or when, but how we will suffer. We need to be worthy sufferers. Acts 5 provides a stunning example of worthy suffering as the Apostles face opposition, threats, and a possible death penalty for preaching in the name of Jesus.

Acts 5 Rebellion
God makes it clear that He not only cares for the width of the church but the depth of the church. He does so by removing the hypocrisy out of our lives so that we will live rebellious powerful lives against Satan and the world.
