Hosea: Turning From Idols (Hosea 2:14-20)
Like the people of Hosea’s day, we often find ourselves enslaved to the very idols that we thought would satisfy us and bring us meaning. What can free us? In this sermon, we will see that we need to apply a specific antidote to our lives while finding our place in the overall story of a God in pursuit.

Ezekiel: The Hope & Hypocrisy of the Church (Ezekiel 36:22-32)
If the contemporary church is so littered with inconsistency & hypocrisy, why should it even exist at all? Why should anyone be a part of it? In this sermon, we’ll see why God’s passion to clean house must begin with his own people.

Under the Influence of the King
We all give someone - or something - authority over our lives. The Israelites begged God for an earthly King, dissatisfied with Him as their Heavenly King. In this message we look at why we often turn to outside influences to meet our needs instead of God.

David: Repenting Of Sin (Psalm 51:1-13)
The Bible declares that David was a man straight after God's own heart. Yet, in a moment of weakness he committed adultery then sought to cover it up with murder. But, David repented and in his repentance we can learn how to repent.

Oneness
Let’s review. Building a marriage is like building a castle. Castles provide protection for the occupants inside. Our final wall is built as a man and woman “are united into one.” In the area of intimacy and connection we are asking the questions of how God sees sex and oneness and if there is a way to maximize intimacy in our marriage relationship (present or future).

Yours for Life
Proverbs 18:22 reminds us that he who finds a wife, finds a good thing, and gains favour from the Lord. Marriage was intended to be the most intimate of all human relationships, a friendship that endures for a life-time, and a secure shelter when everything around us seems to crumble. But for far too many, marriage has become a difficult path to walk. Because it is such an "up-close-and-personal" relationship, it is impossible to avoid the knowledge that your spouse is not perfect. Imperfection is fine! UNTIL it begins to impact MY LIFE! And so the hard work begins; the work of making the union of TWO IMPERFECT people become a beautiful dance of romance, respect, and mutual submission.

Show Me The Love
In Matthew chapter 5 Jesus touches upon a number of issues which speak to all of society today. Whether the issue be murder, adultery, divorce, taking oaths, revenge, or loving your enemies Jesus is wanting us to learn one truth: that it is the spirit of the law and not the law itself that matters most. Key Passage: Matthew 5.21-30

Because Unfaithfulness Stinks
The preeminent obstacle to faithfulness to God in all things is my faithfulness to myself above all things. In this passage, Jesus aggressively attacks the Pharisees because they love themselves more than they love God. That is clearly seen in their unfaithfulness with their money, in their unfaithfulness to God’s Word and in the justification of unfaithfulness in marriage. Unfaithfulness is a stench in the nostrils of God.

Jesus and Your Family
As we continue in Mark's Gospel, the demands of discipleship become more challenging. This week, Jesus lays claim to our marriages and our families. He points back to Genesis to teach us what God intended for marriage, and paints an inspiring picture of the beauty of married life. He loves, welcomes, and blesses the children, showing indignation at his disciples' lack of care for the needy and helpless ones. And he offers us entrance into this kind of life if we are willing to become like children and receive his reign and lordship in our families.

Sometimes a Winner Needs to Lose
We don’t like losing; we much prefer winning & being successful. However, we should keep in mind that, sometimes, not only can we benefit from losing, but that losing may be just what we need to keep us honest before God. Sometimes a winner needs to lose in order to be a man or woman after God’s own heart.

You Shall Not Commit Adultery (Exodus 20:14)
God's command not to commit adultery relates directly to his exhortation in Hebrews 13:4 to "let marriage be held in honor among all." We are to esteem, honor, and cultivate our marriages greatly, and to flee and fight the sins of adultery and sexual immorality. Our fighting these sins requires a practical plan of attack, but it also requires an understanding of the forgiveness and power we receive in the gospel.

"I Did Not Have Sex with that Woman!"
Jesus addresses the sexual purity of His disciples. Adultery is not confined to the act like many try to argue. But even our lustful looks and fantasies break the command. Jesus lays out a strategy to fight sexual temptation we need to hear.

Raising the Bar: How Good is Good Enough?
The Pharisees were pretty good at looking righteous. Unfortunately for them, the level of obedience that God demands goes much deeper than outward appearances.
