Sermons About And-peace
Christ said, "Peace be with you."
As we review the Resurrection of our Lord, we understand that Christ died for our sins and was raised for our justification. In our Collect for the 2nd Sunday of Easter, we learned that we are called to the Ministry of Reconciliation, the healing of broken relationships. This begins first with our relationship with God and then with others. The Apostles had betrayed and abandoned Christ during his arrest, trial, torture, and crucifixion. They stayed behind locked door for fear of the Jews...but also because they were overwhelmed with guilt and shame. The Lord appear and brings them not judgement nor condemnation but His peace. Something we all need.
