He is Risen! First the Wrath then the Glory...
Often we forget the wrath of God was poured out unto the Godman, Jesus. A brief look at the anger, justice and holiness of God from Exedus 19 and Numbers 14 reveals a more well-rounded picture of God Almighty and how our Savior Jesus bore that wrath and our sin on the cross. We stand amazed in awe of how much He bore on that cross and the victory through the resurrection.

You Shall Not Murder (Exodus 20:13)
In the sixth commandment, God forbids murder. This determines our response to the tragedy of abortion. But this also reminds us that anger and hatred toward one another are serious sins in God's sight. Forgiveness and life are only to be found in the one perfect one who was murdered for our sake, Jesus Christ.

Jesus begins to explain how our righteousness must exceed that of the Scribes & Pharisees. Sinful acts start with sin-filled hearts. Murder starts with anger & hatred. We sin long before, and if we don't, kill anyone.

John 2:12-25 - The Place for Righteous Rage
The city of Jerusalem was precious to the Jewish people as the historical capital as well as the center of religious worship. The center of this worship was at the temple mount. Jesus came to the temple and instead of finding sincere worship and devotion to the One True God He found crass commercialism and greed, leading Him to give a demonstration of righteous rage.
