Sermons About Apostles
The Gospel of Authority
Ephesians 4:11-14 teaches that for the growth into unity of faith and the knowledge of Christ, spiritual leadership is necessary and instituted by God. This section of Scripture teaches important truths concerning the institution and function of spiritual leadership. Reference is made to Genesis 3 and Philippians 2, which refer to rebellion and submission to authority from Adam to Jesus, and why submission to authority is difficult.

Sunday Sermon for Week 18-09

The Call To Contend
JUDE 3-4 To counter false teachers ("certain people" v. 3) Jude calls upon the people of God to contend for the faith. When Jesus Speaks
God has spoken most completely in His Son. Jesus' work for us includes His speaking as the eternal Son via the prophets, earthly Son during his ministry, and exalted Son thru the apostles to provide Scripture (inspiration). He now works in those who believe thru illumination that we might understand and apply Scripture. He also works thru us in evangelization & discipleship to help others understand and apply Scripture. Do you listen?

Called To Be Church
The phrase “all that Jesus began to do and to teach†is the clue to the way one should view the Book of Acts. It is the continuing story of the work of Jesus through His Spirit in the life of His body, the church. The true mission of Jesus is continued through the work of His Spirit empowering and enabling the disciples to bear witness of Him
