Becoming an Apprentice of Jesus
To make disciples we must first learn to be a disciple. Apprenticeship starts with a powerful and compelling vision of Jesus, his kingdom and the life he has to offer. Apprenticeship requires intentional time in the presence of the Teacher. To be an apprentice of Jesus is to "constantly seek to be in his presence and be guided, instructed, and helped by him in every aspect of our lives" -Dallas Willard Apprenticeship results in a changed life - starting with an inner transformation and moving outward. Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples." (John 8:31)
