Living Sacrifices: Wake-Up Call
Christ's imminent return demands that we live with a sense of urgency. Indeed, it is later than it's ever been before, and with each day, hour, and moment that passes, our opportunities to serve the Lord and reach a lost and dying world get fewer and fewer. So, live in light of the present time. Are you sleeping? Then, wake up and stay alert! Put off the works of darkness, making no provision for the flesh, and clothe yourself with Jesus.
Tempest
The first sermon in a new series covers God's call to Jonah, Jonah's flight from God, God's pursuit of Jonah, and the responses of the men on the ship.
A Time to Mourn, Rejoice, and Glorify God
A Memorial Day message taken from the story of the resurrection of Lazarus found in John 11.
Worship "Service"...
Plans for our worship "service" were altered a bit...although there are always opportunities to serve. We simply need to wake up to this reality.
Saying Isn't Believing
Proverbs 6:1-11 tells us how to get out of financial debt with what David Ramsey calls "Gazelle Intensity". This passion is motivated by fear of bondage. Rom 13:8 tells us we have another debt of love to God and people that can never be repaid. The passion to live out this debt is motivated by freedom in Christ! If 'Gazelle Intensity" is needed to break the bonds of financial debt motivated by bondage, then how much more "Gazelle Intensity" should Christ-followers have to live out our debt of love motivated by freedom? The hindrance to RUN in this freedom is either raw unbelief or spiritual slumber. This message examines these hindrances in two areas; talking to God and listening to God.
