Living an Authentic Life
“I haven’t been to church in quite some time, and if I had a church like yours back home I would go all the time. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly, it hardly feels like church.” (Amanda from New York) What evidence do we present to the world that says we belong to God? An inconsistent life invalidates our profession of faith. Everyone is known for something.

Sacred Calling Part 1: Isaiah 58.1-12
What is sacred? We learned a few weeks ago that the church is sacred. It is God’s holy people. God’s sacred people also have a sacred calling.

Body Builder’s
The Apostle Paul makes it very clear in Ephesians 4:11 - 16 that God’s mandate for all believers is to build up the Body of Christ and to equip the saints for the work of ministry. As we will discover in this morning’s message, however, God’s method for accomplishing this is through community - a community that is evidenced in the Trinity and was perpetuated by man being created in God’s image. The force of evil around us is determined to either destroy this community or to offer unsatisfying counterfeits. We see the manifestations of this in the rate of divorce and the breakup of families. We see it on an even larger scale in civil strife and war around the world because Satan hates unity! Today’s message will take us back to God’s original blueprint for personal and corporate growth among His people. You will also be challenged to become part of a small group where, in a large church, you can know and be known by others; where you can be authentic and have some of your deepest needs met through love and prayer; and where you can be accountable together according to God’s standard.

Honest to God - Part 1
Christians today are struggling with living authentic lives. Hypocrisy has plagued the church as people are saying they believe in Christ yet are not living out their beliefs. Josh talks in this sermon about "A cure for Spiritual Schizophrenia," that is acknowledging that God knows everything... so why hide anything! This sermon includes a time in Psalm 139 verse 1-12. This is the first of a two part series.

Behind The Mask
What does God care most about? Keeping the end in mind, we want to value what God values – it doesn’t matter if I impress everyone around me here if I keep perspective on what’s really important. God cares more about what’s behind the mask than the quality of the performance.

Authentic Christianity: Into The Future
I know the word "authentic†is in danger of being overused but I like it. Authentic means real or genuine but in today's culture it also implies sincere, not hypocritical. So authentic Christianity suggests a faith that is genuine in the sense that it is the kind of Christianity actually found in Scripture, but also the idea of people that are authentic in that they are sincere and honest.

A Seal And Sign Of Healing Grace
There is no question that baptism has been an important part of Christian faith from the earliest days of the Christian church. The book of Acts tells us that the Christian church was birthed in a baptism. On the day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit was poured down on the church to empower the Christians for life and ministry. Now we might think, “If the reality of the Holy Spirit has been given why go on baptizing with water? †What happens then throughout Acts is that whenever someone or some group of people believe in Jesus they are baptized with water because baptism is an outward, visible symbol of an invisible and spiritual reality.

Strength Training
It is one thing to grow and it is another thing to grow strong. It is one thing for a movement to expand. It is another thing for it to endure. When we look at Acts 14 the issue is not just how the church expanded but how it endured. How it grew strong in a hostile culture. That's important because the principles revealed in these verses are relevant not only to Christian faith as a movement but to each individual in it.
