Psalm 2: Good News For Rebels
We are all rebels – each and every one of us.Humanity's rebellion began with the very first human beings Adam and Eve knew God's requirements but raised their fists toward his throne. They placed themselves in the position of God and decided for themselves what was right and wrong. This was rebellion – an act of treason against their maker and king. Ever since, humanity has been in rebellion against God. The Psalmist wants to clearly state this fact: God has appointed a day when he will bring all rebellion on earth to and end!

Freedom to Become
"Becoming" is another one of MTV's non-music programs. This show allows fans to "become" their favorite celebrity. They are dressed like them, made up like them, and given the opportunity to perform like them. Most of us find this laughable (or even sad). But the truth is that we, too, are trying to become like other people. Regardless of our age we are all still in the process of becoming who and what we want to be. And as we continue in that process of becoming we all have a picture in our minds of who and what we want to become. Though that picture is likely not shaped by the people one might see on MTV, if we are honest with ourselves, we will see that our picture of who and what we want to become has been shaped by other people. It is likely a composite of several people we admire and perhaps even a reaction to people we despise. This picture of who and what we want to become wields great influence over our values, our decisions, our choice of friends, and more. Listen in as we continue our study of Galatians and examine what the Scriptures have to say about this process and picture of becoming.
