Real Heroes
There comes a time in the believer’s life where he or she must decide who to follow. Will you choose to obey God or man? Three young Hebrew men had that decision to make as they stared into a furnace of raging flame. Their decision made them heroes of the faith. There is much to learn about the life of faith in adversity as we study Daniel 3.

The Count Down to this World’s Destiny
The Count Down to this World’s Destiny Daniel Chapter Seven The setting: Rewind the clock to the first year of Belshazzar’s reign. Four beasts came up out of the Mediterranean Sea in the midst of a powerful storm representing 4 world empires Babylon Medo-Persian Grecian Roman What is the exact meaning of the forth beast? (verse 19) He was exceedingly dreadful, teeth of iron and claws of bronze. He devoured, crushed and trampled everything under his feet. The 10 horns represent 10 kingdoms. A little horn (king) will arise out of the 10 and subdue 3 kings. He will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints. There are four names in the Bible for this person 1. “The Man of Lawlessness” 2 Thessalonians 2:1-10 2. “The Beast” Revelation 13:1-8 3. “The Antichrist” 1 John 2:18 4. “The Little Horn” Daniel 7:8 He is an intellectual genius (Dan. 8:23) oratorical genius (Dan.11:36) political genius (Rev. 17:11-12), commercial genius (Dan.11:43; Rev.13:16, 17), military genius (Rev: 6:2; 13:2), a religious genius (2 Thess. 2:4; Rev.13:8) Nothing is more dangerous than an evil genius! The “Ancient of Days” God the Father enters the world court as the Chief Justice of the Universe. (Verse 9-10) * He sat on a chariot throne * The books were opened before Him * He judged in favor of the saints and the beast was slain Jesus, the Son is welcomed by the “Ancient of Days” to receive His everlasting kingdom (verse 13, 14) * The saints of the Most High will receive the kingdom with Him and will possess it forever, yes forever and ever (verse 18,27)

Godly Living in a Secular Age
Godly Living in a Secular Age Scripture: Daniel the first chapter Drive through the suburbs of modern Baghdad today and you will find the scattered ruins of ancient Babylon. In this new series based on the book of Daniel, we’ll see, through the paintbrush of scripture, Babylon rise from the dust, robe herself in riches, and paint her face like a woman of the night. Make no mistake: she aims to seduce. Posing as the beautiful life, she morphs into the current image of what every worldly man or woman wants to be-deserves to be. She is popular. She is desirable. She is intoxicating. And did I say religious? Ah, yes. She believes in so much of everything that one would be hard-pressed to tell if she believes in anything. To worship self is to worship her. She is dressed for success, but underneath she is a lifeless mannequin, a fake, a poser. Her prop is the devil himself. Few could resist Babylon’s charms but Daniel holds his place in Scripture because he was one of the few. Join us as we develop alarms for Babylon’s charms, Sunday’s January 25th – April 5th What happens when the sins of the culture become the sins of the church and God says, “Enough?†(Verse 1, 2) He sends us back to revisit our past long enough to repent. Four powerful influences to compromising with the Babylonian culture 1. Enticing integration (Verse 3) 2. Wholesale indoctrination (Verse 4) 3. It seems cool to compromise (Verse 6) 4. We face identity confusion (Verse 7) We are surrounded by a Babylon of our own. 1. We place a high premium on age, appearance, intelligence and social status. (Verse 4) 2. We no longer blush or have shame over sin (Jer. 6:15) 3. Complete self absorption and self worship. “I am, and there is none besides me.†(Isa. 47:10) 4. There is nothing more dangerous then a friendly Babylon 5. In spite of Babylon’s charms it never stays friendly. We all are in danger of becoming spiritually irrelevant without resolve. (Verse 8-21) 1. Resolve that you will never be ashamed of Jesus in all your relationships and activities. 2. Resolve that you will have your entire learning process pass the grid of God’s revealed truth. 3. Resolve that you will bring moral clarity to all your choices. 4. Resolve that you are of royal seed and a King’s kid. Sources: The Preachers Commentary – Sinclair B. A Heart for the City
God has a heart for the city as the place for the unfolding of redemption. He works in us to create a heart for the city too. If we have a heart for the city we will hurt with the city, want God for the city, and pray for the city.

Fallen is Babylon
The angel's cry in Revelation 14:8 is not only a declaration that Rome will fall, but ultimately, that the world system that stands opposed to God and His people will one day be judged.

Psalm 126 : The Stuff Dreams Are Made Of
We all have dreams – and I don't mean the kind of crazy things you might dream about when you are sleeping – I mean your waking dreams – the mental picture of how you want things to be in the future - and those dreams are made of something – they might be made of the wrong things but we all have them. And sometimes those dreams become reality and we find ourselves struck with amazement and say things like “I can't believe this...Somebody pinch me.†The kinds of dreams I am talking about are dreams which can be characterized by 2 words: hope and vision. What I want us to do is two things: (1) Evaluate our dreams and see what they're made of, (2) Begin to dream kingdom dreams, to look to the Lord to make them reality and to commit ourselves to actively making them a reality.

Jeremiah In The Midst of Suffering there is hope
The Lord God is the one true God and the Israelites had forgotten their one true love,Their sin led them to captivity and sin still does the same to us today. We are clay in the hands of the potter, are we allowing him to transform us and make us into the image he wants us to be. In the midst of suffering there is hope. The messiah was on the horizen in the midst of the Israelites suffering. That is what Paul knew. To live is Christ and to die is gain. No matter what we face in this world we have hope in Christ.
