The Deep Truths that We Declare through Baptism
Have you ever wondered what the big deal is about baptism? Why does it play such a prominent role in Jesus’ last command to his disciples? Today we want to spend some time talking about the amazing truths that baptism is intended to declare. For those of you who have been baptized, this message is meant to remind you of the amazing realities that were symbolized at your baptism. For those of you who love Jesus but have never been baptized, this message is meant to encourage you to see the beauty of baptism and to hear Christ's call to all those who truly know him to be baptized. And for some of you the truths we talk about today may be new to you. For you this message is meant to call you to come to Jesus and know the one who can rescue us from the just judgment of God and fill us with his resurrection power.

What Happened in Baptism?
Do we realize that God loves us so much, that He chose us to be saved. He poured His Spirit upon us to change us to be saved. We have nothing to do with this. It is God’s grace that “cuts the heart” in order to see Jesus. NOTE: At the end of the sermon Pastor Fred makes a reference to Deuteronomy 17:11 and 17:14. Pastor meant Genesis 17:11 and 17:14. Please make note of this.
