Jesus often withdrew to quiet places to be alone with His Father in heaven. Even though He was busy and lots of people had demands on Him, He knew how crucial it was to spend time alone with the Father. Be encouraged and challenged to take steps to get time alone with God on a daily basis.

A Leap of Faith To live a life of peace
We live in a world that seems to be without peace. We live in a world that is looking for answers. We live in a world that faces storms and trials every day. It is time to take a leap of faith to live a life of peace that can only come from God. It is time to take a leap of faith to live a life of peace with men. There is no peace in the things of the world. True peace can only be found in Christ.

Be Still...Are We Able?
Our world is a mess (just watch the evening news); yet God is sovereign. How does that compute? Quite often the last thing we (humans) want to do is "be still" - we are so prone to fix things. Yet there is such comfort in knowing that God is Gracious and that God is Sovereign. Yet for God's Sovereignty to be comforting some aspects of it must be understood. What can we learn from a Jewish perspective of God's Sovereignty in the book of Daniel?

Envy is a lack of faith in the good things that God has planned for us. This is a call to trust in God, rest in God, and delight in God above all else, knowing that if we do he will satisfy our every want and need.

Psalm 46
Background to Psalm 46 - Hezakiah's prayer when facing the Assyrians (2 Kings 18 - 19). God is our refuge and strength. The Lord of Hosts, Jehovah Shabboath, God reigns over all. Come and See. Be still and know that I am God. I don't look after myself, God looks after me.
